I met and spoke to another photographer yesterday. He mentioned that IS could caused softness and won't be as sharp if activated under good and ideal condition. Is that statement true?

jsboutin Member 181 posts Joined Mar 2008 More info | Jul 10, 2010 12:46 | #2 I really don't see how IS would affect sharpness, unless if used on a tripod, from which I heard people saying it created some motion blur (not all IS systems) EOS Digital Rebel XT, EF 17-40 F/4 L and 70-200 f/4 L
