Selection of Macros

I don't believe I've posted in the macro forum before. I've had a macro lens for a couple of months and learning along the way. I thought I'd share some of what I've done so far. Always open to feedback and suggestions of how to improve.

Thank you both. I've gotta learn to properly utilize some flash so I can take macros at or near 1:1 w/o cranking up the ISO, such as the wasp photo.

nice shots. light looks a little harsh to me in a few of them. whats your lighting setup?

These were all taken by ambient light... all on different days.

1. Outside, direct sunlight
2. Also outisde, direct sunlight, possibly slightly overcast
3 & 4: On the shade-side of my house, late in the evening so there was very soft light
5. Late evening shot, I think this plant was in the shade of the house behind us as the sun set.
6. This was taken in early spring, possibly on a cloudy day which would explain the gray-ish, blah background.
