I have a URL that I would like to use for an amateur portfolio. I was going to use Squarespace to design the site but it looks like it will be easier to just use Smugmug (Power User?) and hit the ground running.

I currently have a registrar and a host. Does Smugmug become my new host? If they do, I guess they would handle my email as well?

It sounds like I have the choice of either changing my registrar's settings or switching to the integrated GoDaddy/Smugmug system. I don't mind switching but I've heard some negative talk about GoDaddy - I sure could use some advice - if I overthink this it will never happen!

Replacing my Canon 7D, Tokina 12-24mm, Canon 17-55mm, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, and 150-500mm with a Panasonic Lumix FZ1000. I still have the 17-55 and the 30 available for sale.

I signed up for the 15 day trial of Smugmug. What a difference from a few years ago!

Still just have to figure out how to use Smugmug with my domain. Unless there's a good reason not to, I guess I'll use GoDaddy.

Thanks Redpoll,

I quickly looked at that help page last night. That's when I decided it might be easier to transfer the domain to GoDaddy and have it configured automatically.

Hey, your Smugmug designs look really good.
