I have bben using Mpix for my printing service. I have been uploading .tiff files and of course that takes a while. What format do you use. Does a jpeg give a good final product???

Jpegs with minimal compression will be hard or impossible to distinguish from tiffs in printed form. But don't take my word for it. Upload some test files, order the prints, and see for yourself.

You could even take it one step further, with a blind test. Upload a tiff version and 10 jpeg versions of the same image with various compression ratios. Name the files accordingly so you know which is which from reading the back of the prints.

When you get the pictures, spread them out and put them in order from best to worst, without looking at the filenames first. When you have them in order of percieved quality, turn them over and look at the filenames and see if you can draw any conclusions.
