GT3 Cup + Pikes Peak + 5D Mark II

Not sure if this was posted before, but wow this video is intense.

The Pikes Peak Hill Climb is a crazy race. I used to work for the news weekly in Colorado Springs, The Independent. One year, I assisted one of the paper's photogs when he covered the race. We had a few intense moments standing right at the edge of the course as each vehicle came by (they run races for many vehicle classes; everything from dirt bikes to pickup trucks). I was nearly run over a few times.

We got some radical shots, however; particularly on the dirt section. As you can see from the video, it is a fantastic race for photographers. You can get as close to action as you want, even without press credentials. I wish I had some of the shots to post.

5d2? do you know what lens and settings were? I plan on taking my track car out again and am figuring a way to mount the 5d2 + 17-40. Just curious about the settings because everything looks nicely in focus on that posted video.

Unfortunately no. I just see the tag. I'd also like to see what type of rig setup they used.
