In photo 1, I did not feel there was enough to separate the three rock formations as there is in photo 2, but photo 2 does not have the scale and depth of photo 1.

Photo 3 not sure

Photo 4 would have been better wider I think and too much sky.

I'm a sucker for B+W so I prefer the first set of posts altough I agree wider would have been better. What lens were you using? Very nice images.

Just the 24-70, been eyeing the Sig12-24 but hoping Canon will do a 12-24L

Great shots friesr ! I prefer the color but both sets are very good ! I'll post more of mine later as i process them from RAW .

I love the first one in B&W and the rest in Color. The last one just doen't get it for me. I can see what you were thinking. It's just that the light was failing you on that one. It's just too flat over all.

#2 and #3 really rock because of that blue, blue sky. I think that contrast gets lots in the conversion. Maybe using a different converter would help it.

I prefer the color versions as well. You might consider adding a close foreground element to increase your depth of field. Nice work.


6D, G9, Sigma 50 1.4, Sigma 15mm Fisheye, Sigma 50 2.8 macro, Nikon 14-24G 2.8, Canon 16-35 2.8 II, Canon 24-105 f/4 IS, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, tripod, lights, other stuff.

I'll second the Canon 12-24L. Canon really needs to fill that void.
