Hello all,
I am about to purchase a used GT3540XLS. Any reason why I should spend the extra on its successor, the GT3541XLS??
Thanks for your input.

Jul 12, 2010 00:20 | #3 Woops... edited... thanks. I can't find any difference in the specs I've found. Both seem to weigh approx 4.4 lbs, min height of 4", max of 78" (which is why I need this model), load capacity of 39 lbs, carbon fiber, and 4 leg sections. Anything I'm missing? It is hard to find reliable information on the older 3540. Flickr

FWIW, I use a 3540XLS with my 600/4 and occasionally the 300/2.8 and am more than happy with it. Bob

My friend has the same set-up for his 600 f/4 and 300-800 Sigma. I can't see how the 3541XLS can have a lower min. height as the 3540 legs Passion - Dedication - Inspiration (and some gear)

Must be an inaccurate rumor then...can't wait to get it in the mail. I've been using the WRONG tripod for too many years. Flickr
