Hi guys, I've finally got Elements 8 after years of using Photoshop 7.
I'm struggling to find out why I can't re size an image to a pixel size, it gives me every other measurement but pixels! Frustrating! At the moment I am using DPP to batch resize my images after I have worked on the RAW files in Elements 8.

Please help me, I'm betting it's something really simple :o

It should be the same, pretty much.

Image > Resize > Image Size, then turn on the "Resample Image" checkbox, and enter the desired pixel dimensions.

Or, if you want to crop and resize, enter pixel dimensions in the Options Bar for the Crop Tool.
