Last night I watched the finals of the World Cup, thousands of fans gathered to watch the game on a huge screen. A small selection of the photos I took, C&C welcome:

Too bad the Dutch team lost, but it was still a great experience.

I really don't wanna see anymore orange, can you colorshift it another color in photoshop? ^^

Nice pics, they really show the atmosphere. Sucks to lose, but second of the world isn't that bad for our small frog-country.
What lens did you shoot these with? one of the 70-200's maybe?

Some of my lenses focus beyond infinity...!

I know right! Sucks to lose, and people were getting agressive after the game. Some drunk guy jumped into me and was destroying stuff, so I was a bit worried for my gear.

I used a 40D with a 135L. The people that came over to me for a group shot had to be disappointed, as 135mm on a crop is really not suited for that. :p

vier keer is scheepsrecht? :(

great pictures, just wanted to know if you're happy with the 40D -135L combo.
I'm thinking of buying this lens and already own a 40D.

I want to use it fot portraits but I'm afraid it will be too long for that.

Do you have any portrait examples with this combo?

Daniel

I recently posted a portrait in the Critique Corner, also taken with the 40D + 135L combo:

It really depends on what you want to use the lens with. If you're looking for studio work indoors it might work for headshots, but otherwise I would find it too long. I use it as a candid street photography lens, and it's my only lens besides a Carl Zeiss 2/35 Distagon.

I want to use it for outdoor portraits, I use a 50 mm 1.4 now mostly.
I was hoping a longer lens would give me some better bokeh and the pictures under the lens archive of the 135L are amazing.
But ofcourse most of those are taken with a FF so its probably not a good comparison..
