I had a a-data 16gb CF card corrupt on me during an event. Thank goodness for recovery tools, but I lost 25 or so pics.

It arrived in the mail today ...... Out of La Puenta CA via regular mail.

I formated it to the camera and it shows 31.bGB Free ~~ with 128k used space.

Also- Costco dropped their prices once again in the T1i to $799 for the two lens kit with the bag and accessoires-- down from $849 from the package I bought 3 weeks ago.

I did not have the camera or the reciept on me as I was just geting Petrol, Pasta, Milk, Eggs, Bread and some Cervesas on the way out and stopped by the desk and asked them about the $50 price drop.

- they scanned my Costco card and gave me a Costco Cash card for $50.87.

Gotta love Costco !!

...Until you rely on it for a project and it loses you images or video.

A-Data, Patriot, and Dane-Elec are the brands I see the most failure reports on.

These "bargain" priced cards seem to do just fine until you need to count on them, I've read a lot of "tales of woe" concerning lost imagery.

Look, you pay the price for a T1i, T2i, or 7D and you're gonna skimp on the media.

SanDisk is what the Canon techs recommend to folks who have media card related problems, this is the brand pros have relied on for the last decade. Even Kingston has experienced buffer overrun in Canon T1i and Nikon D90s.
