Hi all,
I have recently purchased a 430 EX ii. I havn't had much of a play with it yet so I decided to give it a go today while its raining outside.
I positioned some flowers on the table and set up my macro gear, a 450d and a Sigma 105mm. I put my flash in the hotshoe and had a play round with bouncing and difusing the light. On some shots the exposure was 13 seconds and more. I thought the flash would enable slower shutter speeds whilst still freezing the subject ( which in this case was a stationary vase of flowers ) The subject was a Lily Stamen with a water droplet on it which was already there when I set it up
I did get some shots down to 3/4 seconds, but no way would I would be able to capture anything which was likely to move.
I'll post an example and exif if that helps. Oh and I was using a Raynox DCR 250 too.
CAMERA Canon 450d
LENS Sigma 105mm F2.8 with a Raynox DCR 250
ISO 100
Aperture 16
Shutter 8 secs
Flash was in ETTL mode.
As the title of this thread gives it away I am not too hot on flashes and, at present am reading as much as I can take in. If anyone can help, or point me in the direction of a good tutorial I would be very grateful.
Thanks
