In a light rain mist, I would not worry about it too much until the rain drops start seeping into the cracks and joints of the camera body. If I am shooting in rainy/misty weather, normally I lay a cloth bandanna over the camera to absorb the drops. If the rain turns into a downpour, then you need a major camera rain cover.
