In the past its had excessive battery drain issues if you left the batteries in, say, overnight and once in a while the buttons on the camera would stop responding, but those were easily dealt with. This time, I think it overheated (twas hot out) and all buttons save the shutter stopped responding. I thought the camera was pooched till I pulled off the grip and then it was fine. Tried it again after letting it sit overnight and it was okay for a while, then started acting up. Don't really trust it anymore. Canon-brand grips are still really expensive so I'm going to go grip-less until I find a good deal on one. Thought about getting another ebay one but have decided against it.
