BTW dont buy that brand, it is not suitable for any form of photography.

This comment really warrants some further explanation.
Blanket statements like this are of no help to anyone, and impart zero information.

Of course I'm all right! Why? What have you heard?!?

You had not mentioned it but I have the 340DX. I purchased this as a "travel tripod", with the intention of buying a larger/sturdier tripod inthe future, I just havent gotten there yet financially.

The 340 has served me well however. I have the 488RC2 head, which I think weighs more than the tripod. I have used my gripped 40D with TC and 70-200 II on it with no issues, but I would be hesitant to load it with anything heavier. I have hung my bag from the column underneath for star trails and very long exposures, again with good results.

For the size, weight and price, it is a good tripod.

Awesome thanks, I noticed on adorama the picture doesn't show the leg paddings, however the one on samys site does show with padding.

Finally I have an answer for you from the purchasing department - padding is included.

Apologies for the delay.

As long as it will hold the weight of your equipment, I'd run it.

Its good for holding my gripped t1 with the 70 200, but adding the flash does add some more weight, I think ill use it for now, thanks
