I have been second shooting for a bunch of weddings lately, and doing shoots where ever I can. I wanted to do a mock engagement session with a few of my friends to try out a cool spot, and to see how I would do.
One thing I learned, my girlfriend is a GREAT assistant.

C&C are greatly appreciated.

Bry,

Assistants are GREAT, aren't they!?
I think you did a solid job :) I like your shallow DOFs. 1 is great, but I would have her foot just slightly bent, instead of all the way up. Like just the tip of her toes hitting the ground, if that makes sense.... it just looks more natural that way.
5 is cute, and so is 4 :)
Good job!

Looks like you did well, and the couple seems to have had a lot of fun, so good on you!

BTW, while girlfriends may make good assistants, if she ever becomes your wife it will be a different matter entirely.;)

My hubby makes a phenomenal assistant... and second shooter. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones :)

Nice...Ferry landing on Coronado during the extended June gloom?

Like all of them except 7 & 8 as well. A little too stalker-ish for my tastes...

Good job overall!!!

5 and 6 had the strongest compositional values (to me).

4 was good but seemed a little to linear/square.

churn out more images like #5 and you'll be ready in no time

I'd like to see #2 #5 with a lesser tight crop.
