Just looking at buying a Sandisk Ultra II 1gb for a Rebel XT/350D, just wondering if this would be a good card to use?

Also looking at getting it from Emartbuy http://www.emartbuy.com …temDetail.aspx?itemId=332 (external link) for 60.51 (price includes VAT.) does that seem like a reasonable price?

Cheers

oh, just as an afterthought, don't suppose you could share a couple of 100% crops from the 70-200, or a 12mm shot from the tokina could you? Looking at one of these for the rebel myself ;)

Its my card of choice as well.

Oh and here is a 100% crop area from my tokina, no post processing.

Hate to be awful, but with the tokina, I'd rather see the full shot at 12mm but reduced in size, I want to see if I get any fish eye type effect towards the edges, as I'd love to get a really good wide angle lens sometime soon, my widest at the minute is 18mm (Kit lens, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6)

Gotcha, well there is some distortion which can be seen here on the left wall, which I believe can be fixed by Photoshop.

But in landscape situations I never noticed any real distortion since there are less straight lines.

For some serious ultra-wide comparisons (real world pics not lab shots!) look here...

I have Ultra II too, never anyproblem although the 300D doesn't use the speed of it like the 350 does.

Got the Ultra2 1 gig to replace my faulty Lexar Pro 80x, haven't had a problem yet with the Sandisk and it seems just as fast for me even if it's not lol...never gonna spend the extra cash on Lexar 80s again.
