First is the best composition wise, but the DOf missed the innards of the flower. The others are very busy with competing BG'S.....

Thanks for the comment Flo - yes, focus was a problem on the whole depth of the flower only.
As far as the BG goes, I tried to eliminate anything that was NOT Day Lily (grass and hedge) and get just the leaves of the lily. I also blurred them and darkened them to put more emphasis on the flower. Guess I missed :)
NOTE for others viewing, there is a small percent of Topaz applied to these.

I definitely like the first one best.

In regards to DoF in a shot like this, I haven't yet found an aperture setting that will get me a deep enough field of focus to incorporate an entire flower like this. I can either get the "innards" or the petals, but not both.

Thanks blake, Snydremark....I had a few more processed but did not upload them as I thought the above were better. These 2 below do have a less saturated green background so perhaps others will like them better..... even if it is for their background.
