Are we too fixated on Verticals?
This shot does not have correct verticals but to me it is obviously shot from a higher angle and doesn't seem to be a problem since it is understood.
Yes you can pull them in but it will still won't be as good as if done with a tilt-shift lens so why bother? Seems to limit the compositions to only eye level angles.
I bother because I don't want to look like an amateur. Angled walls are distracting, IMO, and should be addressed. And a couple seconds, literally, in post costs me a ton less than a $1200 lens.
And I don't only shoot at eye level, I just make sure my verticals are straight no matter what.
