Wow - what a building!

Looks like a durian fruit. There's a building in Singapore that has an envelope just like it that is actually known as the "Durian."


To OP:
It took me a moment to realize the 5th and handheld shot was looking up at an open elevator shaft. It actually looks like some hi-tech railway system, like a mag-lev!

Nicely done set of photos and thanks for posting samples taken by Samyang tilt-shift.
Love the fact that you are not afraid to try new angles and take frontal symmetrical shots. Invest in a good CPL filter if you have not done so already - it gives you the option of killing the reflection off the glazing or go with what you see. In these examples, the reflections work beautifully, especially in the second shot.

I don't shoot architecture much if at all these days, but, I only took one shot for this ..
I could count on one hand how many times I've done that, and still have fingers left-over ..

It would really be awesome to see some images that photographers get like this,
with indoor golf driving and simulated playing .. I'd KILL for this ...

I really like the compositions, colours & contrast on all of those. Very successful images.

However, some of them are quite soft, partcularly #1 & #2. I'm not sure how you post process it, but next time I'll notch up the clarity & sharpness in LR a bit more to make it sharper & crisp overall.

That's great that it took a little looking at to work out what it was. That's what I was trying to achieve with that one. I wish we had a MagLev system here, we have literally only just gotten electric trains!

I looked at CPL's and ND filters for this 82mm lens, they are not cheap at that size! I have some lenses for a Cokin-P holder, which sneaks in the corners of pictures just a tad. So I can use them for now, as long as I allow the extra wiggle room for a slight crop in post.

I actually can't remember the last time I used my CPL filter. I am more inteested in using filters to help stop the glow of sodium street lighting, etc.. for night time photography.

This is a new medical research facility in the city of Adelaide, South Australia. Some were taken handheld because my three-way head doesn't angle far enough back to get this sort of POV for me. All of these are taken with the Samyang 24mm tilt-shift lens.

I like your shots. The B&W works, and you caught the buildings shape well.

I think you shot this room well (though the ceiling is quite dark for my taste) - my only suggestion is to get stuff like that chair out of the foreground. It clutters up an already very visually busy room. I'd also use a timer or trigger so you don't appear in that mirror on the wall. Light those candles next time, too!

I shot a college building recently, example shots below - More from the set over on my blog page

The weather did its best to put an end to this shoot. I was battling against rain, high winds and even hail! Though either side of the shoot was nice and sunny!

Yeah, I thought I had gotten out of the picture, and trust me this was after a few thimgs had been removed...

The first 2 were tonemapped HDR images so they tend to soften. It looks like I need a bit more output sharpening. The others were processed using exposure fusion which helps retain clarity and sharpness. What I've learned from this experience is that bracketing my shots and using either tonemapping or exposure fusion makes the backend editing a bit more work. I'm looking into using strobe techniques.
