managing white balances can be difficult in Any situation where there are multiple types of light sources. In order to remedy this, I use speedlites as my main light source to overpower any other light source in a room.

Now getting your lighting even and natural is my greatest challenge. Diffusing a speedlite by bouncing it off a ceiling or using a STU, dramatically reduces the harsh light associated with flashes.

do you guys use any type of diffuser when using them?

i actually used to use them a while back but have learnt new ways to light areas that seem to work a lot better and look more natural.

Sometimes a shoot through umbrella if the room is too big to be able to bounce off the wall/ceiling.

What is the best way to kickstart a real estate photography business. (ie: how do you get your foot in the door)

Thanks for the response. I'll start paying more attention to my friends homes. Might be some that are photogenic.

Here is my first paid gig for commercial buildings. This is a new hospital in Central Nebraska. Let me know what your thoughts are.
