Both nice but there appear to be white balance/exposure issues....

With this one you seem to have WB issues due to the mixed lighting. The top right of the image has a cooler WB from the natural light from the window, and the left of the image a much warmer WB due to the artificial lights. This makes the ladies look a little yellow.

In this one your subject is the coffee machine (that is what your client wants you to show) but the warmer/brighter exposure of the back room draws the eye there. I would use local adjustments to reverse that. Make the front room brighter/warmer and the back room fractionally darker.

Yes better but the (camera) left of the image still appears a little darker, though that may be due to the bright door frame. I would tray a graduated filter from the middle across to (camera) left with a very subtle exposure boost.

Another one of signage and work area, and of the cashier. Sort of dropped the ball on the shots involving that corner of the room with the fridges.

That warning really makes me want to get some of this stuff now...

For what it's worth at this point, any time there are people that need to be sharp in an interior, I shoot them with a strobe, then remove them from the shot, and do my lighting and bracketing as normal. Helps keep WB consistent, and the practicals aren't usually placed to light people very well. Definitely makes things trickier.

I totally did goof up that part of the room . Like you said, it's tough to paint the ceiling evenly. I do however have 6 bracketed ambient exposures, so I'll revisit this in post and see if I can correct that area a bit.

Thanks for the feedback!

No matter how much I light paint a space, I almost always use the ambient exposed ceiling, daylight, dusk or night. In general I use my ambient exposures anywhere it makes sense. Some reflective surfaces look better with the ambient, so I'll brush those in, when it looks better than the strobed stuff.

Shooting this property tonight. Nice,
Rustic wedding venue. For lighting, I'm thinking of lighting walls with rovelight and shoot through umbrella. Any other suggestions? Very large space and should be fun.

Sharing this for the interior design aspect and architecture. This is the lobby at a historic hotel in SATX. My goal was to keep the mood bright and airy.

Very nice!

If I had to pick something apart, I would say I would have backed up a few steps and shot down the center of the carpet. It's also easy for me to say that not knowing what else was around you, though.

Thread has been quite lately!

Did some shots for a wedding venue in town, complimentary (Owners are distant relatives and they work there but off to keep this place going but know jack about marketing).

I'm happy with the first shot, but can I get some CC on the rest? It's a combination of around 15-20 layers to light the whole thing up. Clearly there is a few two many hotspots but the real **** I had is this damn balloons were moving around nonstop. That really made this a pain in the ass! I may redo this shot when it's setup for a different wedding that does not have balloons.

My eye goes straight to two areas on the first shot. Furthest rafter and below the window left side. Apart from those two very small misses, very nice images!

On the first one i think what you have is nice, it shows the location well. I would remove that dark area though in the bottom right of the picture. Next time if i was you i would rearrange the chairs a bit and move them closer.

Which leads to the second one, i would definitely have moved the tables for this one. The room is centered but nothing else is so its overall a very distracting image.

I think turning off that 1 ceiling fan will help a lot next time too. Looks like a great facility to get some practice shooting large spaces in.
