I think turning off that 1 ceiling fan will help a lot next time too. Looks like a great facility to get some practice shooting large spaces in.

Honestly I couldn't find the damn switches for them haha. I had a short window of time to work with, people all over the property, and the owner wasn't there.

Couple shoots for a new Spa here in town. One for web and one for potential editorial usage

Both shots are done well and the lighting is good on both. Something about the bottom one just doesn't work for me and I cannot pinpoint what it is. I think I would rather see a little more ceiling in this image than floor. I feel like there are some nice lines in the ceiling trim there that would draw more interest.

Maybe it's just me but I think they look a bit too warm. Not much because all that wood has a wonderful warm glow, but a couple of clicks of blue might keep the warmth intact but make the color a bit better.

This thread has been awfully quite lately!

Anyways, I'll give an update on my life. Have a marketing booklet I designed that will be done on Monday. I will pass this out to realtors, builders, and businesses to try to get some business. Have one meeting with a client that designed. Have a few more realtors I will probably be working with too now.

Any of you light painters ever use flashlights? I was looking at the Lowel Hotlight but will never pay $700 for a flashlight. I am looking into adjustable focus 1000 lumen lights that I can just fix a gel to fit over. Right now I'm looking at the Coast HP550. Anyone ever use these to compliment speedlights and strobes?

This isn't still photogarphy, but I own a Matterport camera and I recently scanned formerly Chris Browns house (he hasn't owned it since 2014), and it's going up for sale again.

It's kinda controversial in that he once plastered graffiti all throughout the exterior and throwing long, loud parties. Got sued by LA and all his neighbors. The interior is still plastered with his "art".

joooowan, I would let the sun fall a little more. You're capturing the twilight when it's too bright. Wait until your window lights are bright enough to match outside.

Also, I'm not a huge fan of virtual tours. This could be because I don't do them and don't want to, and am completely biased about it. I feel like it takes away the artistic side of it, and also gives too much of a look at the inside of a property. I feel like well created photos leave more desired to see, and actually get people in the door. From here, they're going to get a lot more from seeing the inside in person than if they could see it from a virtual tour. They're more convenient for homebuyers, and less for photographers (in my opinion).

Yeah.. I'm thinking of getting rid of mine and putting it towards a set of tilt shifts & a drone. Turns out the agents were really just more hyped about it than actually wanting it for all their listings.

I am also getting a drone just in case it's wanted. I don't plan to strictly do aerial, but use it as a complement to my business. DJ Phantom 3 4K is what I'm going with.

I originally had the matterport as like an add-on service I'll have, but it's hard selling an add-on that's just as expensive or more than the core photos. Plus a handful of agents think it's awesome, very few will buy but most are too stingy with their money to go for it. Drones are killer around LA esp where all the expensive homes are. So basically when I had to choose between drone & matterport the first time I chose wrong.

I just shot this home though, it sits on 3 acres, they wanted me to have a drone, I didn't...
