This is a good photo of cool room, but the factory billowing smoke so close is not a positive view.

I actually really like the guy standing there. It works.

What kind of building was this?

Thank you - the description of the project is given in the link below the photos - the architect describes it better than I could. It is for Santa Fe Opera - one of the cultural gems of the Southwest. Their season is during the months of July and August and I would highly recommend attending a performance should you find yourself in Santa Fe during that time. You can have picnic/tailgate dinner prior to the performance, and although stage and audience seating have roof over them, it is essentially an open-air theater. During the month of July, Act I can be enjoyed while watching glorious sunset (or torrential evening squall that blows in from the sides if unlucky). The 3-story building that we documented in particular is the newly rebuilt club/lounge for opera patrons.

If it's in focus, it's pornography, if it's out of focus, it's art.

I would clone out the chair back on the right...does nothing for the image.

I like what you're going for here... a tad more fill would really make this image pop.

fill? Enlighten me, as a casual follower of the thread, I'm not up to speed with some of the terminology

I agree with comments - just be aware that in cloning out the chair back, you may want to clone out its shadow as it would be an orphan shadow otherwise.

Fill, as in fill light. He was also commenting on an earlier photo, not this one of the kitchen.

If that kitchen is just for a listing, I would honestly not clone out either one of those things. The chair I can understand, and it wouldn't be that hard, but getting rid of that shadow seems like more work than it's worth to me.

Thanks ^

I hate that when you hit "reply" the original post isn't clearly marked.

Make the trees a featured part of the photographs. While it's not the way we may want to see the house, for some people those trees are a big deal and they will sell the house.

I think that you showed the real view here. You showed a bit of the nice interior, but focused on the views. You may not have done the realtor any favours, but you were basically in a reportage situation. Maybe not the most financially successful situation to be in, but a most righteous one. FWIW

edit: LOL I think I just sounded like Yoda here. "A righteous situation you are in"

I would try to watch some of the hotspots and flash look on the ceiling and corner of the wall. Other than that, great image.
