Cool shots with very unique skies. The asphalt can easily be cleaned up in PS by you or a pro retoucher.

Hm maybe it needs to go further, this was before lolll

New home for a builder I've been working with quite a bit lately.

These are very solid shots of good craftsmanship and design. For me, these would be better marketing photos with full furniture/staging.

Yes- you have already come this far, I would fix it all as if they had sealed the asphalt.

I prefer shooting with furnished homes but they want all their properties shot immediately upon completion/cleaning of the home.

I left my Starbucks on the coffee table XD oops... I'd remove it but I'm leaving on a cruise in 3 hours and the agent had me shoot a 5k sq/ft this morning.

I would hope he did. I love the compositions, but converging lines always make me cringe.

Thank you much! This is only the 3rd shoot that I've done like this, so I'm just getting the hang of it and trying to figure out what lighting works for me (I did do a couple months of real estate photography earlier this year but that was all run and gun HDR stuff - though I did learn a lot). I've been shooting for 11 years now and so far this is the most fun I've had as far as paid gigs go. The base exposure on the exterior was darker than I'd normally have gone for but I just loved the mood with the dark sky, pink clouds, and the snow, it made the house all the more inviting I think. At any rate I'm still learning, trying to keep pushing things artistically and aesthetically while trying to keep it classy. Glad I found this thread!

Couple more from the last few shoots I did. Just noticed I need to fix the cast on the ceiling in the first one.

Very nicely done ^^

What was your flash technique if you don't mind me asking? Looks like a couple flashed with ambient mixed in? My only critique is bring a little more light to the window will to make it look a little more natural.

Overall fantastic job though.

Edit: Now that I look at it, it's actually a lot better than I thought. I just see something about the last window that throws me off near the bottom left.

Thanks!

My flash technique is all over the place right now, just trying to find my groove. If you're asking about the bathroom picture in particular I had a flash 45 degrees camera left (on a shoot through umbrella) for the cupboards and mirror, to give them a little more definition. In retrospect I should have placed it by the window off the right side of the image so the shadows on the drawers are cast in the correct direction. I also had a flash on the ground aimed at the tub on the right side, with a small diffuser on it to give the tub some depth and exaggerate the light that was coming through the window to the right (that you can just see in the mirror). Combined with a few bracketed ambient shots for the floor to bring out more detail.

As for the window I 100% agree, if I hadn't already delivered that to the client I would change it; and still probably will for my portfolio.

Cheers!
