Testing out some different lighting/editing. Looking for some critique, I might put a couple in my portfolio.

^^ So good! I just shot my first hotel/casino the other day and thought in my head, main I really wish I had amair here lol. Unfortunately it was a HUGE and long space, so light painting wasn't going to be the easiest so I did a little, but mainly bracketed.

CC?? I am torn on the TVs because it shows sports but is also distracting. Thoughts?

Haha thank you! Yeah sometimes when its a big space you really cant light paint. With the tvs, i usually just do a black to grey gradient over them.

So I'm going to pull the trigger on the Sony A7RIII.
Trading my Canon in and getting a decent offer right now
I'm doing the right thing though? All the people who have switched from the 5D mkiv to Sony have been happy right?

I have my close friend who switched his 1DX2 setup to an A7RIII with a 24-70 G setup and has loved every second of it.

I went from a 6D to an A7RIII... I love everything about it with the only 2 complains being build quality/weather sealing (I shoot a lot of harsh weather landscapes), and the fact that I can't use CamRanger, which I only use on commercial jobs anyways. (The new camRanger coming out next year will have Sony support). I'm happy with the switch.

Oh, I also hate how fast mirrorless cameras attract sensor dust, but nothing around that lol.

went to sony 2 weeks ago, but I didn't give up any of my Canon gear, still doing RE work on my old workflow while I figure out a decent one with the SONY.

My takeaway so far

1. Files have more flex in post
2. Shooting wireless tethered sucks (SONY Playmemories app doesn't have a good solution to bracket and then goto flash fill frames. You HAVE to touch the camera buttons to go from bracketing and single drive)
3. The Playmemories app will disconnect if you try to review any photos, it's pretty annoying.

Oh yeah sensor dust.. I didnt' expect to get dust spots on like the first photo I took with the camera.

I switched from Canon 5D mkIII to Sony several years. Overall, I've been pleased with the switch. The Sony files are so nice to work with, especially the dynamic range.
