Hoverfly I managed to capture whilst chasing bees around. Im pretty happy with it considering it was a really windy day.

I did this using the 18-55 kit lens reversed. You can get some fantastic macro shots with this lens. I bought a $5 reverse lens to body mount and you can get close to 1:1 macro. The above photo is uncropped and the hoverfly is only a little over 1cm long.

Thanks for the info Brian, I will look into it more. Its hard to manage with such shallow depth of field. I need an older lens with manually adjustable aperture.
