How do you store your gear at home/studio?

With recent purchases of new gear (mostly lighting/studio stuff) I came across the problem of storage. Currently all my gear is spread between 3 cases:
- small bag for my old film pentax with 3 lenses - pretty much never gets opened
- computrekker for flashes, filters, cables, batteries, chargers, less frequently used lenses, remotes, etc - the most stuffed case
- crumpler as a grab'n'go bag - with a body, walk around lens, flash and some necessities.

But with some upcoming lens purchases, I wonder if I should have a dedicated case similar to one of the larger Pelican cases to store all the camera gear and couple of lightstand cases for stands, softboxes and such.

How you are storing your stuff?

Appreciate any feedback.

M.

Couple bags, equipment changes all the time per need. Bags are sitting next to my work desk on the floor out of the way.

I acquired a Lowepro Magnum 400 AW case and it carries all the gear in my sigline minus the tripod which is secured on the top of the bag. This bag fits on my walker perfectly for walkabouts.

When I'm not shuffling gear around other bags, my gear sits in my Lowepro Pro Runner 450AW.

Ben...be nice. You're supposed to save the near-c orbital kinetic strikes for the really egregious stuff:lol::cool:

I used to keep all of my digital stuff in my Flipside 300, however I've been suing my camera quite a bit lately so my 20D and 70-300mm stay on my tripod and my 18-55mm stays on my desk as they're my most used lenses. Then I've got a couple of bits in the Flipside (400mm, filters and filter holders, 50mm f/1.8 and a flash). My 135mm and 28mm sit on top of my computer so they're easy to get to, along with a few lenses that I need to sell, and some more that need selling sit on the floor under my desk. I've then got 2 film bodies lying on my desk and another on the floor. I've also got some flashes and other lighting related stuff somewhere around my room.

Basically I'm very unorganised, however I know where most stuff is if I need to grab it quickly before going out and just shove it in my smaller bag.

I store my stuff in those stackable plastic utility boxes with the clip on lids. Clear ones so I can see inside. Only when I'm heading out do I transfer extra stuff to the camera bag.

Used gun safe. Pretty big and insures that everything will be there when I need it... Cost was $325.

Pelican 1614 for camera kit and Pelican 1514 for lighting kit. The smaller Pelican works great to take a full gear kit on planes and whatnot for working interstate... there's some very good reviews of both in the sticky on here.
