Also since this is the Standard hood, if i use the wide angle lens adapter, whats the widest this can go before I start to get Vingetting... note since its baffles I can shorten it to get wider

Lastly, I kinda want to know just how big this really is! so anyone have any pictures of it in use?

Wouldn't having a filter on the front of it defeat the purpose of a hood?

That particular hood is basically for studio and portrait shooting, where longer focal lengths are usually in play...not real suitable for landscape shooting if that's your field. The very front slot is typically used for adding vignettes.

Mostly music and Editorial work Argyle... so not landscapes, however I do like to shoot low and wide when I can, do a lot of Environmental Portrait work.. been reading online that this hood with the wide angle 77mm adapter goes to about 24mm before you start picking up the vignette, thats not bad...

24mm is not bad at all...that's still pretty darn wide on a FF body.

I have that hood and used it a few times. It always is more trouble than it's worth. It rotates by itself and I always end up with some of the hood in the shoot when I get back to look at the files.

I haven't touched it in a year.

I used to have the wide angle lens hood too. As Aroundlsu said, it is more trouble than it's worth. If you're using it for studio work, then by all means. :)
