Beautiful shot. Love the composition.

Thanks a lot. I'm jealous of you though, living so close to the ocean and in SUCH a picturesque location. I just need to be more determined to get out and shoot.

I use this to justify paying all the expensive bills living here. :)

I've always heard Hawaii is a very expensive place to live but it's so beautiful!! I haven't been there in almost 20 years. It's getting close to the time to return!

Thanks Julian. They're old, from 2007 but I am going through my photos trying to reorganize my galleries on Zenfolio and thought of this thread when I saw them. :)

Yeah Harm same trip in 2007 when we visited London, a lot of Scotland and Northern Ireland. It's actually my second time in Northern Ireland. I was also there in 2000. I love it over there. Can't get there enough. It's funny because I still feel like the shots from that trip are some of my best and they were taken with the 20D and kit lens. ;)

So, um, I'll swap the 40D with your 5Dii so you can take good photos again...

They're all long exposures. My waterfall shots are usually 1-3 second exposures, depending on lighting. But generally the longer the exposure, the brighter/whiter the water becomes. You'll need a sturdy tripod and, ideally, a cable/remote shutter release. I use a CPL to eliminate reflections in the stream or pools of water.
