Hi, I am looking for a company that has easy to build flash websites. I do not necessarily need web hosting. The only one I've been able to find is wix. Does anyone know of any others?

I would like to keep things inexpensive, so less than $200. Thanks!

Why do you want a flash website?
If its little things - fine - but don't base the whole website on flash, there are few things more annoying than having to wait 2 minutes for the flash element to load..

Some don't wait. ;)

I suggest looking at something like Smugmug. No flash, but they offer a slideshow and since it's HTML, search engines can find you.

I have a website through http://www.portfoliositez.com/ (external link). I hate that I have to use their email servers because I host through them, soon I am outright buying a template and hosting through Godaddy. Other than their crappy email, I love them, they respond right away and are very helpful!

I have to agree...

It's not SEO friendly, it's slow, you have to have flash... :(

Flash, the quickest way to get visitors to leave.

My website is very SEO friendly, it has alot of optimization built in and I appear top in google search and I am very happy with that, my website loads very fast for others as well. I haven't had a complaint yet :)

Top in a Google search for what? Your name? Of course. But, when I search "Martinsburg Photography", you're not even on the first five pages.

My former flash site did that too. Coming up first as my own name is nice. Sadly that isn't going to generate any business, unless it's from people that already know my name. Not much of a marketing tool there.

My site sucks, but it's HTML, therefore I might have a chance to be noticed by the webcrawlers.

That said, search engines are becoming more "flash" friendly. My wife won't even wait until a fast site upoladed when we were looking at wedding photographers. I base things off of that experience, as she is a more typical "end-user" than I am. I'll tend to wait a bit more.

Just the humble musings of a beginner...

Yea, I did not focus on Martinsburg Photography, I focused on Children's Photography so far, and I managed to be #1 which is what most people I know looked for that found me via Google :)

Thanks for the tip though.

Wix is great, I use it (though not for photography). It's not flash but http://www.squarespace.com (external link) is another great WYSIWYG service.

Another vote to stay far away from Flash. Most flash portfolio sites have no need to use Flash, regular CSS and JavaScript will be able to make something that looks and functions better.
