Lacrosse Flickr Set (external link)

This was my first athletic shoot (shot over the last 2 days). They were all shot using a 55 - 250 (except for the posed shots at the end which were from my previous thread and were shot with a nifty fifty). Some have PP done, others don't. As you can see from the pictures we've had a VERY hot summer here in NY and most of the "grass" fields are anything but. I did the best I could in photoshop to warm them up but I think the dryness and dust really add a lot to the images.

The two long pano shots are actually 2 shots stitched in photoshop - let me know if you can tell. I took over 600 shots, these were my favorites. Any constructive cc welcome. Thanks!

PS Please let me know if there are any issues viewing the set, I'm somewhat new to sharing flickr links.

You'll get more comments by picking a few and posting them here, rather than linking back to your flickr.
Click on "share this"/"HTML" which will bring up something like this:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/blahblahblah/" title="Blahblahblah by foobar, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/whatever/images.jpg (external link)" width="373" height="500" alt="poopiepants" /></a>

Cut 'n paste the bolded part of the url and insert between the IMG tags here.

You had tough conditions to shoot in. Lots of dust!

I've never shot LAX before, so my thoughts will be very general. Try to simplify (not always easy of course!). There's so much going on in some of these pics my eye doesn't know where to look. Your best shots would probably be with only one or two players in frame with the ball, perhaps fighting for possession or perhaps with crazed looks in their eyes.

Those wider shots were meant to capture the struggle between the attack / middies and the defense / goalie, but I understand what you're saying. I'll have to take a different approach next time. Here are some of my favorites though.

I like the dust. Are you looking for tips, or just C&C? Either way, are you doing this as a hobby or are you trying to sell the photos?
