Since I have gone from a gripped 50d to gripped T2i I feel like my lowepro slingshot 300aw is too big for my needs. I want to carry light but still have the option to carry all my lenses plus flash. I been thinking about a 5mdh or 6mdh because I like the small/medium messanger style bag and already have a huge tamrac backpack for when I need to carry everything. I read that the padding on them are really good! I read that the 5mdh is not very protective for gripped cameras but most I see are xxd bodies what about rebels? I will be packing my t2i gripped with 17-55 attatched (most of the time), 70-200l f/4 IS, 50 1.4, siggy 24 2.8, and 580ex II. Will this all fit in a 5/6mdh? Also am wondering if either will fit my body with 70-200 attatched? Thanks in advance for any info or help.

Check out this link. You'll be able to find all that in a 6mdh. 5mdh is gonna be small and not wide enough for a gripped body.

As for myself, I went with a 6mdh stuffed with T1I gripped, 50 1.8, 55-250mm, 430ex II, misc accessories. I still have room for another lens when I purchase one.

As for having the 70-200 attached, I doubt it. I have had my 55-250mm attached it is a tight fit, but I was in a hurry to get out the door. Typically, I have my 18-55mm kit attached.

Hope this helps...

For your equipment, I'd get the 6mdh. The 5mdh is going to be way to small for all your equipment.

5mdh won't fit lenses and flash. Will carry my 11-16, 30mm and 50mm (any attached). Will carry 70-300 attached and 2 of 3 above lenses. Could probably squeeze another in but would be VERY tight. Pefect for me and what I use it for

I have the 6 and my opinion is that certainly the 5 won't work for you and neither will the 6.

The best way to fit what you have in the 6 would be, for example,

left side, 70-200 (vertical), right side 50 + divider + 24 above

center, either body with 17-55 attached or 17-55 below + divider + body above.

None of this leaves room for a flash unless you put the flash in the center, vertically, and try and fit the camera with 17-55 in. In either case, the flash is the problem.

The Rebel with 70-200 atached would be a tight fit.

Personally I think the 6MDH is adequately padded but not great by any standards. My ProMag2 I would call well padded.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

Thank you for all the replies, I know it will be a really tight fit I guess I will just have to go out and try to find one at a local camera shop and try it out. As far as packing my gear I dont always have the 24 or flash with me i guess I can leave those at home if need be. Thank you all
