^ It's pretty simple:

Pull the strap to the bottom

Loop through the strap lug of your plate or battery grip lug so that the strap, once looped, now points to the right of the camera

Pass the strap through every single one of the lugs on the strap itself, including the adjustment thing.

Loop the strap through the top right camera strap lug, such that once looped, the strap now points to the right again.

Now just pass the strap back again through the loops and adjustment thing on the strap, making sure you have enough space for your hand.

I found a YouTube video and seemed to work wonders, thanks a lot! Loving it!

Got mine yesterday off ebay from dhsummer, as per some recommendations here. I got the Black, Red Stitch, Type 1. Super fast shipping to Canada. Actually very easy to install, I just unfolded the strap in position beside the camera, and just ran it through the loops and re-attached the bands. Took about 5 mins.

Excellent packaging, almost like a piece of jewellery or something. At first feel it didn't seem as stiff as some had mentioned. I'll get it out this weekend for 4 or 5 hrs though and will obv get a much better idea then.

I find that the strap limits my thumb to access buttons on the back easily. I don't have the grip so I have to use the plate. The plate slips when used on tripod, so its quite bad. These two reasons made me take the strap off and now I have not used it for about 2 months I think. ?!

I Am absolutely loving my strap, especially with the BG-E7 grip and no need to use my tripod mount for the strap so I can leave the strap mounted at all times.

Thanks for the response. I have a grip for my camerma, although I don't use it the majority of the time, so I got the version with the plate to give me the flexiablity of using the grip or not.

Do you have the new version of the plate or the original?

Bummer, I confirmed that the one I was buying was the new plate. Have you tried contacting the seller to see if you can buy one of the new plates?
