Which lens do you use for those quick-reaction candid party shots (weddings, etc)?

But those long shots are making want to rethink and maybe look at the 135L. I have both a 24L and a 35L but with the killer IS on the 200 2L it is my favorite candid lens in dark rooms. I can consistently hand hold at 1/40th and even get things at 1/25 depending on how still the subject is. I could never get those shots with a 135L.

airfrogusmc I'm a chimper. There I said it... More info | If you spend some time with it and get to know it (the 85L) you will find its not as bad as reported by some. I never miss shots wit hit because it focuses to slow. Its just not a very forgiving lens wide open and most can't jsut pick it up and right away get great results when shooting wide open.

I disappear in the room because of working distance. I actually have more problems of being noticed with the 85L. Seriously!!!
