Which lens do you use for those quick-reaction candid party shots (weddings, etc)?

Post your low-light candid photos shots here to illustrate.

Here's one taken with the 85mm 1.2 to kick off with.

A short, fast prime, always. But those long shots are making want to rethink and maybe look at the 135L.

I have both a 24L and a 35L but with the killer IS on the 200 2L it is my favorite candid lens in dark rooms. I can consistently hand hold at 1/40th and even get things at 1/25 depending on how still the subject is. I could never get those shots with a 135L.

If you spend some time with it and get to know it (the 85L) you will find its not as bad as reported by some. I never miss shots wit hit because it focuses to slow. Its just not a very forgiving lens wide open and most can't jsut pick it up and right away get great results when shooting wide open.

Heres a 35L shot in low light.

Even in low light, is there anyone who doesn't notice when the 200 f2L is pointed at them?

I disappear in the room because of working distance. I actually have more problems of being noticed with the 85L. Seriously!!!
