I have made a few posts about Adorama's crummy service in the past when they failed to ship the purchased item the way it was ordered.

I normally don't need the purchased items right away, and I guess it was OK when I chose their paid shipping option over the free UPS ground option, just to learn that they used UPS ground and actually charged me the extra shipping cost. After I contacted them, they admitted a mistake, apologized, and credited my account back for the difference in the shipping cost. Fair enough.

However, I ordered again, and again chose the faster shipping option. The only problem this time was that I actually needed the item within the time limit of the chosen shipping option (3-5 business days). UPS ground and 7-10 business days for the delivery was just not acceptable due to the circumstances. Adorama made the same mistake, and shipped the item via UPS ground, "7-10 busines days". My question is: what does it take to have an item delivered faster with Adorama? Why don't they remove so many shipping options if they don't use them? This, to many, may not seem as a big deal, but if I need something delivered sooner (especially if it's critically important), I pay for it, and I expect a prompt service. Adorama failed again.

I have contacted Adorama and received no response yet. I will certainly NOT do any business with them in the future as they are nothing but a headache. I still, however, expect an explanation, and I still expect a credit for the shipping option I chose and paid for.

Troll much?

If you've had issues in the past, and you've felt slighted enough to post about it before, why the hell do you keep ordering from them?

Maybe it just gives you something to post about, instead of actually posting photos like you should.

I have never had a problem with adorama, actually I ordered a lens from them and received a copy that squeaked when I focused, I send it back and they upgraded me to overnight shipping as I needed the lens for a trip I was taking.

Just ordered from Adorama again. This time a battery for my 1DMkII. And again, fast shipping and absolutely no issues.

Sorry but he has a legitimate reason to complain here. Ordering from them a second time gives them a chance to prove the first time was a fluke. Now it has happened twice.

Read the OP again:

"I have made a few posts about Adorama's crummy service in the past"

That would make this at least the third time. If they're not smart enough to learn after allegedly being hosed twice, they've got bigger problems than slow shipping from Adorama.

I've always gotten my stuff from Adorama sooner than expected.

Then I guess he needs to contact Helen and she'll do some investigating.

Hmm... I have had nothing but great service, sales, and shipping from them... I ordered a lens last night at 5:15-5:30 and it was shipped that same day and will be arriving within the next hour or two... that's their 2-4 day service.

Nothing but great service from them as well. Ordered 11x14's on metallic paper and the get to my door in 3 days. pretty darn good considering I am in California! Prints are amazing, packaging is top notch. I will surely continue to do business.

I have found that if I contact their Sales dept they just do not answer. Several times and never an answer. I don't bother anymore.ther than that I have had great service.

Actually, it might just mean that the OP made multiple posts about a single bad experience. Semantics, I know...

As for Adorama, I too have had nothing but pleasant experiences with them, but if I was really concerned about an order reaching me in time, I'd give them a call to double check the shipping method/timeframe.

Adorama is decent over all. But it's not perfect, far from it.

What I don't understand is that, whenever somebody makes a complaint such this one by the OP, then the person got attacked.

I think that a lot of the time it may seem that the OP of whatever complaint thread is simply trying to take out a measure of revenge against a retailer they feel slighted by, and often the OP comes across as being very unreasonable. That doesn't seem to be the case here. I'd like to know when the OP contacted them and how long he has waited for a response. While Helen is great at what she does around here it is not unreasonable to expect a response to an issue within a business day or two (max) through normal channels, assuming Adorama is open.

Every running business have its downfalls. I guess you're one of those unlucky people. I made over 10 purchases from them and they been fine to me.

Being on the west coast makes it tough to get quality camera gear in a timely fashion with b&h and adorama on the east coast. Sorry to hear about your experiences OP, at least now you have learned to never order from adorama again, right?
