Well first off, I wouldn't know it was a cactus really. Would take awhile to figure it out. Mainly because cacti are supposed to be green I suppose.
The dark stripe on the right side is distracting too.

An interesting shot, but your title suggests a cactus, which this is probably not.
It's a succulent, to be sure, but it looks quite a lot like an aloe vera.

I would like to see the crop not taking out the tendrils on the bottom, and a bit
more contrast to offer more details. More white space around the central subject
might show it off to better advantage. DOF seems confused, as well. Focus appears
to be at a juncture of the plant's leaves, leaving some great detail left out.
