Why not get both the Sammy 14 and the Distagon 21 ;)

I have both and on FF, 21 gets 90% use vs 10% with the 14mm,

I find the 14mm too wide for my shooting style, but the 21mm's just perfect

the 21mm has nicer colours/contrast, in my opinion but manuall focus is sometimes a pain =(

although some might argue that at that wide you'll be doing MF anyways ,,
hmm

They're both great lense, if you don't need AF then give the 21/2.8 a try

I use to have the 18mm Zeiss zf and found it too wide, i got the 21mm ZE instead. However if you want wide for landscape - get the sigma 12-24 it will rock your pants, and twice on sunday.

That's stupid as the lens reviews as well as anything out there. Really. PTlens + Lens is less than 1/3 of the price of the Canon.

Posts like these are silly. The focal lengths are completely different.

14 is super, super wide.

thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am thinking of going with the Zeiss and putting off the UWA 14mm for now.

Ok just re-read the 1st post, i have the 5dmk2 also, 14mm on FF is pretty wide, if you have a chance to borrow or rent both lense, give them a test try see which lense fits your shooting style. That's what matters the most, if you're rich and don't mind switching lense all the time then buy both =)
