These are unedited straight from the camera, let me know what you think.
I have been into photography for a few years now but I am just now starting to get serious about it. This is my second DSLR (50D) that I just got a couple weeks ago. I had a Rebel Xti a couple years ago but sold it not too long after since I didn't have the time to spend much time with it.

Photography is like a drug and I think I need an intervention.

They look great. Decent, safe, DOF just a little pp and they will be fine.

I would say try and boost the color a little bit. The pictures look great, but color could really catch the eye. I know that on overcast days that isn't the easiest thing to do, but lightroom and photoshop do wonders some times ha-ha. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the image shot over the image photoshopped, but there are times when you do what you got to do! Good Job!

Very nice pictures. They are simple and not overdone. You can tell the thought that went into taking these pictures just by looking at them.

Your sister is very photogenic. She really outshines her husband in photo one.

Number 2 is my favorite.

Heres my thoughts:

1. OOF.
2.Slightly OOF. Her dress is blown out and so is the sky behind. Did you use flash on this one ?
3. Nice pic but face is slightly dark. Maybe a reflector would have helped. Or even moving to her left a bit and getting the BM fully in the background, not just half of her
4. Again nice pic. But that dudes arm is distracting. Again her face could have done with a bit more light on it.
5. This may look better in B&W and crop a little closer to his back. You also cropped their feet out of the pic.
6. Nice pic. Again might work better in B&W
7. I dont like it. there is no point of interest. Maybe hang her engagement ring or wedding rings off one of the pettals.

Im no expert, just my thoughts. Also as you stated straight out of camera, after a tuch of unsharp mask and some curves they should look fine.

Cheers

Mark
