I've run out of patience with evaluative meetering and want to get more precise on my exposures. I have a 5D2 and a 50D. What I want to do is work in spot metering, AV, one-shot, and have the shutter release pressed half way to both focus and do exposure lock. I did a search and came upon an older thread that seemed to suggest I could do this but it's not an option under the functions for the shutter release (cfn 4.3.x). Is there somewhere else I should be looking or does it involve more than one function?
