Got soaked at the beach last night and thought I came home empty handed, but then I found this on my sandy card:

That is brilliant.... I have tried to photograph lightening a number of times and each time the storm stopped when I was ready :-(

Thanks everyone. I wish I had a shot of my picture-taking setup, it was a pretty outrageous sand-pod/lens case/towel to lock it down apparatus.

It is a great shot, bump the S curve in levels and it will be a bit more dramatic.

Here's some drama, Skrim!

Question: is there any banding in the sky gradient apparent to anyone else, in either version? On my monitor, the sky isn't a nice smooth gradient and I'm wondering if that's a function of my monitor or just a combination of the limits in the file and pushing things to far.
