Set Flash Exposure Compensation in the flash? In the camera? What mode were you shooting in?

I don't know what that means :o I was in P when it happened and also tried TV and Manuel and it was still happening

A dog I saw

I love that dog. I have one that is his twin, only older and sturdier. :)

Hey all. Seems I just keep getting further behind, but I am determined to catch up fully as soon as possible.

Remington update. He was decaffeinated last week and that went fine. However, he has kennel cough and tested positive for heart worm. Lots of meds right now. They need to keep him as quiet as possible during the heart worm treatment so he and Bax won't be meeting for several weeks yet.

On the other hand he is very mellow like Baylee, so they are getting along great until my niece moves into her apartment next weekend. Also, I get to meet him IRL tomorrow evening.

Poor dog. I didn't know they could treat heartworm. It's good to know they can.

Hi everyone!

After 3 days in Potsdam last week (see shots below) and a weekend in Paris, I'm back home - albeit a bit sick.. :-() Before getting back to work, I just wanted to share with you some pictures of beautiful Potsdam.. (Please don't hesitate to say if PP is too extreme, I'm learning to play with LR, so don't really know the limits yet...:o)

Schloss Sanssouci

Butterfly in front of the castle

Neues Schloss

Neue Kammer

(more on the website ;-)a)

very nice Didier. I too like the more natural look you've done in the past but these are still very pretty.

HOLY CWAP!!! Hubby just called. We have to be in NM by Monday.

oh gosh, what about moving your other RV?

DDA wrote in post #10667022 (external link)
We had a really nice double-rainbow in Potsdam...

so pretty.

HELP! I can't figure out what I did to my flash (430ex ii) When I took some pics with it today the pictures were darker WITH the flash then without! Anyone know what I did? It was like that in all the modes

edit: there are fresh batteries in it

what mode were you shooting in? What was your shutter speed?

OK it's working now. Maybe I was just too far away for it to work? I'm not sure. Oh well, at least it's not doing it anymore. I really need to figure out how to use my camera and flash

Hey Jimbear!!

Didier, Great pictures, I spent some time in and around Potsdam in 1976 / 77. Unfortunately I never got to see the "nice" bits.

It was quite a different time...

Good to know, thanks!

Good to know, thanks!

I want you to know that I'm not being down on your processing. It translates so poorly in words...but your normal shots are so beautiful. You compose well and your settings are magical. So sometimes processing uniquely actually takes away from a shot instead of enhancing it. You know what I mean?

:o :o

Don't worry, I didn't take your comments in a wrong way. As I explained, I had to play around with all the presets you gave me. For landscapes and wildlife, I'm sure I'll keep (mostly) a more traditional processing.

Here is for you this first shot with a soft PPing ;-)a

Thanks!

This rainbow was incredibly strong. People stopped in the street and came out of buildings to shoot it... As you can see, being in the middle of the street doesn't stop you to take pictures...

There sure are a lot of pics of double (and more) rainbows around here lately. I'm just wondering what the heck is in our water supply, what the heck is in our oxygen supply... (external link)
