Certain there was but a morsel of the holy bundt left I trudged to the kitchen. Again I was hoping and praying, this time for bundt to be left over. Sure enough, like magic from above, there was at least 1/3 of the holy bundt left. Blessed be my chocolate and crumb covered lips.

That sucks Tom :( Can you leave now and nap at rush hour then keep going? I am learning to work with my clock not against it. We need to be more of a 24hr society.

Actually, that thought occurred to us, but our departure time is keyed to dropping BIL off at the airport. He has a 7:00am flight, and we'll be leaving the house at 5:30 to get him there an hour early. I finally did get to sleep, and got about 3 hours of rest. If we get tired, we'll pull off and nap (per the discussion a couple days back with Jim). We don't have to be in the Bay Area at any particular time, so there's no reason we can't take it easy.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I know we are not supposed to do religion but I have to share. I was hungry so I headed to the kitchen sorta hoping in praying I found food. It was not like a drop to my knees begging a god for nourishment or anything, just a lot of hope. So I open the fridge and a light, a light from above, comes on illuminating the contents. There in the middle shelf sits a before unknown marbled bundt cake. I swear I heard music. Yum . Sorry to evangelize but the story of the holy bundt must be told.

hehehehehehehhe

Lisa is doing quite well, all things considered. Her dad is really having a tough go of it though. Lisa is going to hang in there for a while yet, and go through her mothers things with her sister, clearing out what is no longer needed.

The service is on Saturday, so I am going to book flights for Friday, returning on Monday for me and the kids. Yes, Caitlin will be back tomorrow afternoon, from a time zone 14 hours ahead of here, then has to jump back on a plane the next day. Good thing it is a bit less than a 4 hour flight.

Continued thoughts and prayers for your family Jim. Am I recalling incorrectly... didn't another death/significant illness happen in your family while Caitlin was out of the country once before? My fuzzy brain is recalling that you didn't want to tell her while she was on her trip....?? Or is my brain so fuzzy I'm talking crazy?

Have a great day ya'll!

Ok apparently two days ago I went to post this... and I had too many smileys... and I never came back to this screen to fix that!

I was a guinea for Celebrex....my script for that was almost 10K @ year. I often wonder how much damage I did to myself taking that.

I was given that med just before my back surgery! I refused to take it!! The PA who wrote the script totally defended it but I wasn't buying it!

I think that once it went mainstream the price dropped substantially. Dropped even more after all the health concerns surfaced.

When I got it I only paid $50 for my co-pay...

Bwahahahahahahahahahhahahaha that's hilarious Deb!!!! LOVE it!!!!!!

Speaking of all the medicine stuff.... I have been having breathing issues. I've had a rescue inhaler for the last 15 or so years. Every doctor says no asthma.. just a sensitive airway. Well in the last couple of years, I don't go anywhere without my inhaler... I used to never carry it and only had issues when I was sick. Now I carry it everywhere, and I have inconsistent, periodic issues with my breathing. I spent the last 6 weeks essentially gasping for air... I was really struggling in this heat... So I went to my primary doc who said 'ah it's just your allergies' and told me again that the pulmonary function tests she gave me do not indicate asthma. I have been disagreeing with her since she did that test 2 years ago... So I pushed hard at this appointment telling her I wanted an answer. She said well if you insist (YES I DO!) and sent me to an allergist.

Off to the Allergy specialist I go... I got tested for allergies and did another pulmonary test. Well I'll be damned... guess who got diagnosed with asthma yesterday! YEP! ME! He showed me on the test exactly what showed the asthma etc. My primary doc had said that the asthma maintenance meds wouldn't do me any good... well I now have a script for those.... and I now will be looking for a new primary care doctor. She refused to re-do the breathing test... she sent me to an allergist just to shut me up basically...

So I have some pretty severe allergies and asthma... Is it sick that I am excited that I now have a diagnosis and that a doctor listened to me??

Good Morning :D
I got in one of those 7 hours of solid sleep last night, that should load up my reserve tank. ;)

<------Is glad that he does not have to do any prescription drugs. That 9 month stint with leukemia saw me doing tons, and tons, of the latest and greatest drugs available, fortunately at no cost to me other than all the side effects they gave.

One of my meds is 15K or so a year but I pay About $2500. I can't complain.

 oh gosh, that's incredible. How do they expect a normal person to afford that?

 Are you suggesting that Zane is not normal?
You could be on to something there....carry on. :p

I do hope you have found something for the pain, my mom lives with chronic pain, and I hate it for her and anyone else that suffers :(

My MIL was in that boat too, and had all kinds of different pains, from chronic arthritis, to back issues, and so on. May she rest in peace.

On many occasions your brain does seem fuzzy and you do talk crazy, but not this time. :p
Caitlin was in Thailand when my dad passed away two years ago. These have been her only two trips abroad.
She arrives back this afternoon, and we fly out to Ottawa tomorrow morning.

Not at all, your situation is what it is, and it is just nice to know what that is.

Morning Jim , Im glad your drug free :)
I tend to try to be as drug free as i can be I'm asking the doc today if I can be oxygen free :):)
The one place I'll always want drugs is for pain I cant stand to be in pain , well for long periods of time that is .With Fibromyelgia its hard not to be in pain , but like other things it goes into remission ,so we are good .

Much of the MS drugs are relatively new and take a lot of research and expense in developing. There is really a lot of hope for a cure and they are not too too far off.

Hoping and praying it is very close.

She is scheduled to land at 2:38 here, and her boyfriends mom is picking them up and dropping her home. She does a plane swap and the customs thing in Vancouver, so should not be too long here. And, thanks, will do.
