Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I could use a little Lightroom help here.
I had set Lisa up on Lightroom a while back. She had LR1 and LR2 on her computer. She ended up importing with both to different catalogs, and on top of that really screwed up her directories (a really bad structure of folders), both on the computer and in the LR catalog. I plan to help her straighten things out, because as little as I know computer wise, Lisa is much further behind. What I want to do for her is to set up the directory on her computer so that it is organized. I assume I should then just delete the LR catalog she is using, and create a new one. The big question is, is how do I easily import this structured directory of photos into a LR catalog? All I seem to be able to do is to import all the photos in a single folder at one time. What do I need to do?

That's neat, I always wanted musical talent, or any talent. What did you make music on? What kind? Play for fun anymore?
Anyone else have questions for Tom? I will leave the bulb on in his eyes if anyone else has questions.

I know that Tom was in marching band... and it seems the traditions of marching band have NOT changed...

On the paper vs plastic bag thing, not many realize that plastic is much more environmentally friendly in many aspects. Paper takes something like 4 times the energy to produce, and it creates a bit more air pollutants to produce and many, many more times of water pollutants, to produce. In a landfill, even paper actually breaks down super slowly, but most plastics (unless biodegradable) break down slower.

All this said, I carry either some used good quality plastic bags and/or cloth ones in my car to use for shopping. Well, 'cept for the times I forget to reload with them.

I have tons of great reusable bags... and I am so bad about forgetting them in the car or at home!!!! LOL

Alrighty folks... I have a question... So we know that I'm getting the 5D classic from Jay. *happy dance* I'd like to add a lens to my collection that will be good with the 5D. That said don't go recommending any L lenses to me... that's not gonna happen.... at least not right now...

I know that some of you here have loved certain other Tamaron or other brand lenses...

So what lens (canon or not) would you recommend in the $500-600 and under range...

Any input would be appreciated... ( I posted this question on RRTP as well...)

My Sigma is dying I believe.. it's the lens I have problems with... it makes changes to how open/not open the lens is on it's own... :( At first I thought it was my camera! (Horrid explination... but it's been a year since Jon explained the issue to me once I described what was happening! )

Does it have to be new? or are you considering used as well?

I will always consider used... I just am very cautious of buying outside the RRTP/TPBM family, ya know what I mean... I am not completely opposed to used, just cautious...

I use color corrected 5600k incandescent bulbs in my lightroom. Really can't help with the other part of your question.
