Hi Lisa - we don't have any plans as of yet, been tossing a few things around, but my Brother is still here, and I have a meeting that I have to attend at 3:30 today (The Zoo's Director set me up with an appointment with the head Curator of Mammals to see what is going on and why I can't even get an interview for a keeper position)

When is Kona's appointment?

I hope your appointment goes well. And I hope that will resolve so that you will eventually get a keeper position.

Kona's appointment is at 2:20. Dan's going to take him. I think I'm going to take Hale swimming myself, while they are gone. I've been reluctant to do it (because I couldn't swim to save her) but I think she's swimming well enough that she wouldn't need any help from me. Is that a dumb idea?

Thanks Lisa. I am not expecting much from the appointment, and have kinda given up on the idea of being a keeper at the Zoo, but am taking the wait and see what happens approach to the meeting. Figure if I go in with low expectations, then it won't hurt as much if nothing happens, right.

Hale will enjoy the swimming, I would just try to keep her near the shore, so if there is any problems, you could just reach in and grab her

Fingers crossed that Kona is healed enough to get the drain out and the Cone off

Going away presupposes one has the wherewithal to do so. We had to tap the vacation fund for some needed vehicle work and I'm still intending to go to my reunion in Monterey in September so we're trying to save.

I just love when Crissa feels playfull :)

Playful? Flipping me the bird (whether I deserved it or not) is not necessarily playful, you know.

Wade is having a really hard time with Montana's passing. Had another breakdown last night. It was so hard on him to be the one that found her, then have to be strong while I had my come aparts.
I'm still grieving, but have moved on to remembering the happy times, and I can smile when I think of her. He hasn't gotten to that part yet, and it's really taking a toll on him. *sigh*
It will be better once we get her ashes and have laid her to rest here with Cara.

Give Wade a big hug from me too.

I am not a plagiarist.

I just hate to see other people using my ideas before I've had them.

Ban him.......

I thought you went to high school in Hawaii.

For some reason I've really been jonesing for a trip to Monterey recently. I might have to head up there for a few days soon. Maybe I could even take a side trip up to San Anselmo to see how Dante is doing. He hasn't been around here in a long time.

Goodness Deb, I hope it's nothing. I know they have wonderful meds for seizures, but that just sucks.

Are you going to take her into the vet for another check?

I've never had a furkid who had a seizure. That's gotta be scary! I can't even imagine it.
