Went out to the Albany Bulb (external link) in Berkeley, CA for a few hours of fun. The bulb is a current landfill which houses trash, urban art, and a small shanty community. It is definitely an interesting place to see.

C&C is appreciated.

ALl the photos except #5 don't have an interesting composition as far as I'm concerned, so it's hard to offer much more than that for those since that's so important to the photo.

As for #5, the BG isn't very interesting, but the "people" are so I would have selected a wider aperture to isolate them a bit more from the BG. Maybe try a front angle with that same general framing of them as well.

Also, go back and shoot the sun setting inside one of them to get a nice starburst effect spreading across. I think that would be cool.

I like 7 & 8 best -- the light and sky are quite nice. :)

Thanks for the response. How would you have composed these shots to make them more interesting?

There were trees and brush directly behind them and was too distracting IMO, that's why I shot facing the bay. I agree with a wider aperture, I forgot to open it up after I shot something else

I really like #7.

I like the subject of 5, but would like more room at the left side of the frame (that's just my personal preference).
