Just wanting to check before ordering - is the Dell U2410 still considered the monitor of choice for photo editing (at that sort of price range)?

But the HP LP2475w is still popular. And on your side of the pond, there may be an offering from LG that I'm not aware of. I have never dealt with Dell or HP so not a 'Fanboy' of either but from everything I read from the UK, Dell UK have a very good customer services reputation whereas HP have not. This would seem to be the opposite of general opinion in the States. TOP BIRD SHOTS

A 17" CRT has the effective viewing area of a 14" LCD. Hmm, if that's so then maybe I do not need anything as big as a 24" LCD. I think I may start looking at a 20" instead which I guess is going to give me a increase viewing area of around 50% which would suit me fine. TOP BIRD SHOTS

Sounds like you should review what the major monitor manufacturers are now offering as 20" is kind of "old school". Perhaps 22-23"? Chas P

I think you'll be disappointed going from a CRT to a TN LCD. "Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.
