hi;
I have a canon powershot s5is for two years now, and did not have any problem with it until now,
always used EOS utility on my desktop computer ( win xp pro sp2) to transfer files to my computer using usb cable and hub, this time, I eos tool not working properly,
I switched the usb cable, used computer usb instead of hub, still same thing,
when camera connected to computer, the camera shows up in my computer, I can open it and browse pictures that have been taken, but I can not even copy any pic from there, no error or nothing,
when I open EOS utility , there are 4 icon usually show up, three of them are dimmed, only monitor folder is click able, usually i click "start to download images" and all taken pictures would transferred to my computer,
i have uninstalled the program, and reinstalled it again with other tools(picture viewer and photo stick), but the problem still there,
I have not used stick reader yet, because I want to use this tool.
I even recharged the batteries.
I can view pictures within my camera and take picture as well, I don't see any problem with camera just no proper communication.
anyone know any solution to this,:(:(:(:(:(:(
appreciate your help.

Thanks.

OK, problem solved, I found the solution on other place, here is what I did:
I ran MSConfig, chose "Selective Startup," and then unchecked "Load Startup Items." I restarted, and CameraWindow worked. After doing this, you can run MSConfig again, and click on the rightmost tab, "Startup." Check one process at a time, click apply, then restart your computer.
