Looks good to me. You got lucky with the blue sky, I have almost the same photos but with a overcast sky and could not do much to improve them. The sky conditions is one thing that can make or break airshow photos.

i think they look great, excellent exposure enough contrast. the only thing imho they all have great balance in composition except number 1, the plane on the right i feel should be cropped a tad lower to give it a bit more negative space above it.

all in all fantastic shots. gear used?

I think you oversaturated them a bit - at least the blue channel.

Else they look great :)

Thanks for the critique, i'll look at changing the blue channel. the blue sky was really great, but the hard sun created lots of shadow. All shot with a canon T1i, 100 - 400L Manual mode, 1/1600 or 1/2000thSS, f5.6, iso 200 or 400 (depending on ss). It was a great show

You should see quite a difference - they do look a tad dull - but oversaturated looks strange - is your screen calibrated?

Great action shots but there does appear to be a lack of shadow detail and even bright parts of the planes are lacking any definition.

Love #3, alittle tone mapping and they would really pop.

Yeah, I agree. Number 3 is a great shot and with a little more PP it would be perfect.

I'm not sure what kind of add'l pp to do on this, or how to do it. I turned my edit image on, if someone wants to give it a shot I would appreciate it. Also tell me how they did it?

Thanks

I like no.3 but it sort of has the look of a TSE... not too pronounced but they almost look miniature...
