I needed a new circular polarizer so I went browsing on the web. It seems that Tiffen now offers a polarizer that does not cost you as many F-stops as a regular polarizer. It is called a "low light polarizer" and it sounded like a really good thing to have. I ordered one here:

I thought maybe it was too good to be true and sure enough it was a scam. The "low light polarizer" barely polarizes at all. It's a complete waste of money unless you want to use it for a 1.5 stop neutral density filter, which is what I'll use it for.

Just wanted to help other folks save some money.

My current Canons: 5D, S90, 7D, 550D.
Current lenses: Canon 28 1.8, 50 1.8, 85 1.8, 100 2.0, Sigma 50 1.4, Tamron 28-80 2.8, Tamron 75-200

Why not just return it and put the funds towards a higher quality polarizer? You could always bump up your ISO in lower light situations...
