Having to clean up after urban artist left some work on my gates I have agree with most here. They should keep there art where its wanted. It is legal to own a AK47 in most places in the states so I will defend him for that lol.

I like the pictures. However, I think there's a difference between Graffiti Artist & Taggers. Most popular Graffiti Artists will get commissioned to do work and get paid for it, during the day. What you've captured in your pictures are just Taggers vandalizing property.

Of all the people who are not playing by society's rules, "taggers" are so far down on my **** list that I just can't be bothered by them.

Politics aside, I like the photos, they've got a good grungy, urban vibe to them.

Don't get too bothered by the POTN puritans, they love to use this place as a soapbox to spout their own verbal graffiti.

I agree, although I wish there were a few clear photos of the art, as opposed to the artists.

Well, I think we officially lost sight that this was about the photos themselves. Not just complaining about the subject matter. BTW, I really like them, good job =)

First nice photojournalism. Since no one seems to want to comment on your actual photos. Second have to disagree with 99% of the people posting saying street art is wrong. People that can't accept that street art is actual ART have no right to consider their photography art then. Art is art no matter what your canvis is. Simple as that.

QUOTED IMAGE

The posters with the hand and buddha have been going up in my neighborhood (oakland) over the last few weeks. That is Cryptick Movement's work, who also goes by the name ABCNT.
